Sometimes all you want is a natural way to tackle those painful, itchy and irritating skin barrier issues. When your dry and damaged skin cannot retain moisture, this can cause inflammation which reduces your ability to keep harmful pathogens and environmental elements out. This can create a cyclical pattern which feels like a never ending recipe for bad skin. For many people this has meant experiencing signs of redness, irritation, inflammation, dry rough patches, discolouration, pigmentation, cracking or being overly sensitive to environmental conditions.
Emu oil is ideal for all skin types including sensitive skin. With little to no reported side-effects, it can be safely used on dry, sensitive, reactive and compromised skin safely and effectively. It also has the added benefit of increasing wound healing and lessening scarring.
Emu oil helps your skin by...

Emu oil is like a super-food for your skin!
This versatile oil is packed full of nutrients that your skin will love! It is one of the only known oils which can penetrate through the skin's protective barrier. Therefore it can deliver active ingredients deep within the 7 layers of skin to soothe, hydrate and heal the affected area and target inflammation. Unlike other topical skin treatments, emu oil actively addresses the source of the problem rather than just masking visible symptoms. In this way emu oil goes far beyond being just 'skin deep'.
With the added benefit of the essential fatty acids of Omega 3 & 6, which are known to help the skin form an antibacterial barrier that prevents water loss. The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties will also help soothe and heal dry, impaired, and inflamed skin.

How to use our emu oil products for skin issues
Emu oil: Shake well before use. Pour an adequate amount of oil onto your palm, depending on the size of the area. Warm the oil up by rubbing your palms together. Gently rub the oil onto the affected area up to 3 times daily for the relief of skin issues and general wounds, rashes and inflammation.
Skin repair cream: The skin repair cream is a great option for deep hydration, while healing and sealing the affected area with a thicker cream. Take an adequate amount of skin repair cream from the tub, gently rub the cream into the affected area up to 3 times daily for the relief of skin issues and general inflammation. Unlike the oil the skin repair cream will take longer to absorb as it is designed to give you a protective layer over the dry and damaged area.
Frequently asked questions
You can use both products interchangeably as they both deliver the deep penetrating and nutritive benefits of emu oil. However, we recommend the skin repair cream when your skin barrier is compromised and needs something thicker to heal and seal the affected area. The Emu oil will still work effectively to aid your dry and damaged skin, it’s deeply penetrating traits means it is absorbed quickly into the skin.
Emu oil is a very light cream to white coloured oil that can have a thicker consistency in colder weather. Once warmed between the fingertips or hands it easily glides onto the skin and is absorbed very quickly.
The skin repair cream contains the benefits of emu oil, coupled with bee’s wax and camel oil to give it a thicker cream consistency. When cold it can be more of a solid consistency and when warmed up can be easily rubbed into the skin. However, because of its ability as a barrier cream it can take a few minutes to soak in, leaving a very light protective layer over your skin to protect it from outside environmental elements.
This depends on how irritated, damaged or compromised your skin is.
For mild issues you should start to see the skin barrier improve within 2 weeks of consistent twice daily use of the skin repair cream. For more irritated, damaged or compromised skin it can take at least 30 days using the skin repair cream up to 3 times daily.
